Over the weekend I stopped by a holistic health gathering at my former school, Southwest Institute of Healing Arts. The Magicae Foro & 7 Magi team was there selling wares and promoting our Online Magickal Marketplace. It was a fun event and I ran into a few friends from different areas of my life.
First I ran into a former tarot student of mine by the name of Robert Jerome. He took my Intuitive Tarot series at Vision Quest Metaphysical Bookstore about 3 years ago. This is the first time I’ve run into a former student of mine out in the world working their Will. It was really wonderful to see him again and see that his love for the tarot is still as alive and well as the day I first met him. I sometimes tease my students that although I offer a certificate at the end of the program should they so desire and fulfill the homework requirements. Yes, my students get homework. Lots of it actually. Anyway, I digress, I offer the certification even though I have never been certified myself and therefore am not sure it is worth much. In all seriousness though, learning that a student of mine is out in the world gaining more knowledge and experience while making his living with the tarot is the best “certification” I can imagine. I consider myself a life long learner and always feel like I learn so much from each of my students, perhaps it is time for me to give Bob the Psychic a call myself!

Then not one but two of my fellow gong-stresses were around showing of their wares. First of all my friend Kathy Koziol, who I studied Hatha gong with has a beautiful new line of malas. She is Yoga Momma’s Magical Malas and handmakes each with love, mantra, sound healing and Reiki magic. I really hope she decides to offer her malas through Magicae Foro’s online marketplace! I think she’d fit right in.
And last but not least the lovely Melissa Corter, a gong-stress in her own right whom I met studying the gong and singing bowls a couple of years ago. She is an amazing soul artist with her photography but I discovered some very moving prints she also had for sale. I hate to sound like a broken record here but I hope she decides to join our magickal marketplace too.
I am really glad I decided to stop by!
